Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was the first gymnast to score a perfect 10 at an Olympic event. Bela Karolyi, later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci as she was only the age of six. She first competed in the national junior championships 1969 where she placed 13th. She did well in the 1970 competition. In 1972, at a meet of communist countries juniors before the Olympics, she was awarded three medals of gold. And in 1973, and 1974 she was named the all-around junior champ. In addition, she won four gold and one silver medals in her first international competition for seniors, held in 1975. It was the first time that she competed as an adult. In 1976 she became the first female athlete to perform reverse double salos on the uneven parallel bar, as part of her dismount. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the entertainment business began in her teens when she began doing figure skating with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show named Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol ventured into the entertainment industry during her teenage years. When she was a child she started her career as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling show called Ice Capades. These shows included ice skating shows that were performed accompanied by musical theatre.
