As I was a mom with one child on me and others with me in the cradle would work 12 hour shifts sanding flooring and tearing off wallpaper. Ha! Ha! In the market in town I set up a little area and then sold a few pieces. Eventually, my collection grew to the point that the space I had available was not enough. More than 1000 people came to my home over the course of a weekend to purchase everything on the ground floor. Growing Days was founded in my house. Growing Days was more than a thriving business but it was also a loving family. I was finding that balance between what it took starting a new venture as well as a mother too. If you'd told me that my business would be the basis for a DIY Network show, I would probably have thought you were crazy. It's true that I amused when I think of it.
